2025 was a truly special season, as visitors from all walks of life joined us for the NYRA Breakfast & Breeding Farm Tour. For many, it was their very first time stepping onto a breeding farm, and their excitement was contagious, especially when they saw mares and their foals peacefully grazing in the paddocks.
Seasoned racing fans found their own kind of magic in the experience, enjoying the chance to connect the dots between the track and the farm by seeing the parents of horses they follow so closely. Meanwhile, the children who visited quickly fell in love with our goats, mini donkeys and horses, whose gentle, curious personalities made for unforgettable moments.
But more than anything, it was the simple joy of being outdoors, on a beautiful farm, surrounded by horses of all ages, that stayed with people. It’s a reminder of how powerful these experiences can be, bringing people together through a shared appreciation of the land, the animals, and the stories they carry.
