SUGAR PLUM FARM

It’s a New Day at Sugar Plum Farm

Since its inception, Sugar Plum Farm has operated as one of the premiere Thoroughbred Breeding Farms in the area. Recent changes have given us the opportunity to look to the future and enable new and exciting changes to the farm. Although we will presently continue to race and will maintain a smaller broodmare band, we will not be taking in new boarders at the farm.

Our Vision

Our vision moving forward is to welcome mini horses, goats, donkeys, and other small animals to the farm and enable underprivileged children the opportunity to visit the countryside, see and smell green grass, and interact with the animals.

Through meaningful engagement with animals and nature in a safe, supportive farm setting, we aim to empower children through experiences that foster confidence, compassion, and personal growth.

To that end we have created the Sugar Plum Farm Foundation, organized as a New York not-for-profit corporation. To date, an application for recognition of tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) has been submitted and is currently pending IRS approval.

The foundation was inspired by Tony’ Malatino’s life journey and belief in opportunities for all children

Looking Ahead

This marks the beginning of a new journey for Sugar Plum Farm. Over time, we plan to expand our programming, welcome volunteers, host a summer program, and continue growing our impact.

We invite you along as we embark on this new adventure. You may follow our progress by clicking the Sugar Plum Farm Foundation tab above.
