WHERE did the Summer go ?

With the Saratoga Meet behind us, we already see the days growing shorter and the sun shining at a different angle. Here at Sugar Plum Farm, we welcome the cooler weather as we prep yearlings and prepare for winter.

Our stallion, WAR DANCER, has been here at the farm for the summer, taking a break from his stallion duties and socializing with his friends - the goats and donkeys. In addition, he made a cameo appearance at our War Dancer Summer Party, where he delighted the large crowd with his antics. He’ll soon be returning to Irish Hill and Dutchess Views Stallion Station to begin to prepare for another breeding season. With 46 progeny wins in 2022, it’s sure to be a busy year for War Dancer !

We were excited to see old friends and meet many new ones at our summer party, and look forward to seeing everyone again. Although the social calendar quiets down in the winter in Saratoga, the upcoming sales and breeding season gets people out and about. Hope to see you !
