It’s THAT time of year again !!

Last year saw us all remain healthy during the COVID pandemic. With strict protocols in place, our crew did an excellent job, and as Summer turned to Fall then Winter, we’ve continued to practice safety measures ensuring that all visitors and staff stay healthy.

Just into the New Year, on January 3rd, our first foal was on the ground, when Rock N Cozy foaled a lovely filly by WAR DANCER. Mom and Baby are doing fine and the filly is “rarin to go” !

On December 5th, Irish Hill & Dutchess Views Stallions hosted their annual Open House and Stallion Show, cancelled last year due to COVID. The turnout was great and WAR DANCER looked fantastic as he strutted for the crowd. Kudos to Rick Burke, Bill Leak and the Team at Irish Hill Farm for their dedication to excellence. December 5th was also the NYTB Annual Breeders' Dinner, this year held at Salt and Char., in Saratoga. The venue was wonderful and I’m still dreaming about the food, which was amazing. Thanks to NTYB for a lovely evening.

Late Summer & Fall brought some great racing, and our stallion, War Dancer finished off the Saratoga Season as #1 Sire of Two Year Olds, with 8 Winners ! We enjoyed some exciting racing and loved seeing War Dancer progeny hitting the board.

As we hunker down for the Winter months, we look forward to a busy schedule on the farm. The Sugar Plum Team has been fine-tuned to handle care of ALL the animals (including goats, donkeys and a cat ), and keep a watchful eye on the foaling mares !

We wish everyone a Happy and Healthy 2022.
