Foaling In The Time of COVID

After a long Spring, Summer and Fall, we find ourselves back at the beginning again, with the onset of foaling season. Although the days and nights are long, there is nothing more beautiful and hopeful than a newborn foal. I think helping babies make their way into the world will lift everyone’s spirits, after being socially distant for so long, unable to see family and friends.

At the farm we continue to practice social distancing - we all don masks and gloves, and disinfect all surfaces, and ourselves, on a regular basis. We’ll continue to be extra careful during foaling, while making sure that our Mamas and babies get the care that we pride ourselves on here at Sugar Plum Farm.
